With over 40 years experience managing the risks associated with Legionella, HydroChem has identified the importance of TMV maintenance.
Every year, thousands of people suffer scalding injuries in their bathtubs, sinks and showers. Additional untold numbers become ill due to water-borne bacteria, such as Legionella. TMV selection, installation and maintenance balances these risks whilst minimising the ongoing costs associated.
HydroChem employs plumbers with expertise (and associated licences) in TMV installation and maintenance.
HydroChem’s risk management strategies start with its processes and procedures which are established under its ISO certifications: Quality, ISO 9001, Safety, ISO 4801 and Environment ISO 14001.
Scheduled Maintenance Compliance
Just as important as the annual maintenance and regular inspections is the ongoing management of scheduling, reports and asset registers for record and audit. Digital asset management and reporting is one of HydroChem’s key differentiators.
HydroChem manages TMVs for large hospitals, schools, and council buildings. At one facility, HydroChem is responsible for over 2,000 assets – all serviced annually:
- HydroChem has regimented protocols in place to ensure all assets are serviced within their scheduled time frame.
- Each TMV is individually catalogued on HydroChem’s contract management system.
- Scheduled services are issued to each individual’s mobile field device electronically.
- Exception reporting is undertaken weekly to assess why any scheduled services were not undertaken.
