A message from Mike Lenton, CEO, HydroChem

The impact of COVID-19 in Australia is causing all of us to review the way we interact. HydroChem has developed a comprehensive response and I would like to take a moment to share that with you – our workers, clients, suppliers and partners.

Maintaining Awareness

We are maintaining awareness of the current situation through updates from ABC News, Australian Government Department of Health, World Health Organisation and Worksafe. HydroChem will continue developing its response to COVID-19 as the situation changes.

Business Continuity Plan

We have a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan which is being updated with information that becomes available. For example, we have organised additional stock of raw materials from countries directly affected by COVID-19 in anticipation of production and logistics delays.

Our branch offices around Australia continue to remain open. We have reduced the amount of face to face interaction between our field service team members to minimise the potential for transmission of COVID-19. As part of this process, we have implemented technology solutions so that team members can conduct videoconference meetings and online training via their devices. We have also resourced our administration and sales team with the ability to work remotely with full access to our systems.

Should conditions worsen, we are confident we can respond to changes in minimising impacts and disruptions to our clients.

Cooperation

We encourage everyone to follow the Australian Government’s recommendations to minimise the impact of COVID-19.

Coming on the back of the bushfires in Australia, no doubt the current situation will cause stresses and difficulties for individuals and organisations throughout the country. Our sympathies are with those who have been impacted by recent events.
