Throughout HydroChem’s culture and workplace practices, safety is recognised as our number one priority.
It is our belief that workplace incidents and accidents can be avoided. When it comes to implementing the latest legislation and specifications, we’re on the ball. All workers are trained in the latest workplace safety procedures and share the equal goal of operating a zero harm workplace. This goes for both our employees and contractors. Everyone’s safety is our priority.
Our work safety system is continuously under improvement. Working collaboratively with our business partners we ensure safe work practices are implemented in every aspect of our business.
OHS Certification
In order to proactively manage our OHS system and ensure continual improvement, we have Safety Management System AS/NZS4801:2001 certification in all states.
We are committed to preventing injury and illness amongst employees, clients, contractors, visitors and the community.
- We engage a Health & Safety Officer to conduct risk assessments of work procedures and clients’ sites
- We consult a Health & Safety Committee comprised of one representative from each department
- We conduct quarterly safety audits of all safety equipment, PPE and electrical tools utilised by services technicians in the field
- We develop and implement appropriate training programs for employees and implement procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
