Overview
Slow release bromine/chlorine biocide buoy for long term protection from algae, slime and bacterial growth, including Legionella.
Description
Bio-Sub is designed for use in evaporative coolers (swampies) for long-term protection from algae, slime and bacterial growth, including Legionella. Bio-Sub contains slow release bromine/chlorine tablets and is a non-foaming, easy to use product. Bio-Sub may also be used in small cooling towers.
Directions for Use
Ensure system is cleaned of all fouling contamination. Place the Bio-Sub buoy into the water basin and hold under water until the buoy sinks. Do not leave floating. When buoy is approximately 90% spent it will float to the surface, indicating that a replacement is required. Routinely monitor to determine the average life of the Bio-Sub buoy in the system. Depending on the system, each buoy should last approximately 3 months. Do not replace until spent, or use more buoys than required as overdosing could create a chlorine odour.
Pack Size
4 Bio-Sub Buoys
Product Tips
Regular physical cleaning of the evaporative cooler pads and basin extends the life of the Bio-Sub. Bio-Wash is recommended for cleaning and disinfection of the system if required. Refer to Bio-Wash product bulletin instructions.
Water treatment of small cooling tower systems should include a secondary biocide and inhibitor program. The use of Bio-Bloc and Rust-Bloc is recommended. Refer to product bulletins for instructions.
